Important Notice: Monday Night Skills Practice

At Noosa Basketball, we are always trying to improve the organisation and management of our competitions and trainings, to provide the best quality product for our Cyclones members.

Some recent actions implemented have been the increase of coaches on Monday night's, and the allocation of Team Managers and Coaches for all Junior teams.

To ensure that Monday night sessions continue to be a productive night for the development of our Juniors, and in turn is a safe and respective environment, the Noosa Basketball Committee have released the following statement:

"Due to some behaviour and respect issues on Monday nights, Noosa Basketball are going to trial, until the end of this term, closing off the courts to spectators during JDL, U12's, and U14's practice times.

We ask that parents and onlookers sit in the stadium seating on the first floor, or view from the corridor outside. All players that are not scheduled to train are welcome to play basketball outside, or arrive when they are scheduled to train.

Under 14’s players are asked not to enter the courts until 4:50 when the previous training has ended. If parents wish to be on the courts during this time they are more than welcome to join the coaching team.

Pete Schumacher (JDL coach) will be helping manage this transition in our training and all members are more welcome to approach him with any questions. We understand this may cause some inconvenience but ultimately we are trying to foster the basketballing future of our club (and its members). To achieve this, our members need to be able to train in a focused and safe setting. Thank you in advance for your understanding."
